Westplan successfully rezoned the vacant shopping center to mixed use zoning allowing for 236 apartments, 39 for sale townhomes, and approximately 25,000 square feet of retail.

Westplan partner Brad Johnson added, “This was truly a collaborative effort with all stakeholders including the City of Marietta and the surrounding neighborhoods. We would especially like to express our gratitude to the City of Marietta City Council and Mayor Tumlin for their foresight and guidance during the rezoning process. We feel privileged to be part of the continuing revitalization and redevelopment of this corridor within the City of Marietta. This has been only the second conventional apartment project approved during the past 20 years.”

Construction is estimated to commence in early 2025. Westplan was represented by Milton Dortch of Stowers & Company.
