ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Westplan has invested in The Highlands at Sugarloaf, a 390-unit luxury apartment community in Gwinnett County, GA to be developed in a joint venture with Brand Properties.
The project will have significant visibility along Interstate 85 and is located near major employment centers and amenities such as the Arena at Gwinnett Center, Sugarloaf Parkway office corridor, TPC Sugarloaf golf course and Primerica’s new headquarters. The community will provide residents with best in class finishes and resort style amenities.
Rob Carter, Executive Vice President, stated “we are very excited about the unique characteristics of this site and its excellent location in a growing market. It will have tremendous access to I-85 and is surrounded by high quality office and retail.”
Westplan’s multi-family strategy is to continue to grow its portfolio in Georgia, Florida, Texas and North Carolina with investments in distinct development projects. It will also continue to dispose of some of its investments on a selective basis over the next 12 months to take advantage of the improved capital markets.
Westplan (www.westplan.com) is a privately held company that owns and manages twenty-seven apartment properties with over 9,000 units and a commercial portfolio of approximately 850,000 square feet.
